Mike & Andrea - August 23, 2008

Mike and Andrea were married on Saturday. It had to be one of the hottest days of the year, however, it was refreshing after so many weekends of rainy, chilly weather. I think Andrea is one of the most organized brides I have met... everything was ahead of schedule... the day went off without a hitch. They were married at Caledon Woods Golf course. It was a beautiful location for a ceremony, and the reception hall was perfect. Andrea was my second bride of the season to wear a veil... it was sooo long.... I was very excited about that... I LOVE long veils!! Thanks to Katherine Madaleno for helping me out... she shot the picture of Andreas feet below... I love the shot!

The Reids!!

This wedding is especially close to my heart... Meghan is my beautiful sister and Craig is her obvious soulmate. The two got hitched on August 8th. It was an outdoor wedding with no real rain plan, a small tent and an expected 200 guests or so. The way this summer has gone I was pretty sure we were going to have scramble to find shelter. I felt a bit of panic but no one else seemed to be worrying. My dad reassured me that he put his order in for no rain and that I should just relax and have faith. Hearing the sureness in his voice, I did just that. Friday came and so did the rain... apparently. It poured rain all day in every area surrounding my parents property (where the wedding was held), but all we saw was sunshine. It was the perfect day!!

I only took a few shots for Meghan and Craig before the party and put my camera away for the rest of the night to mingle with friends and family. Here's a few from the day...

Okay... so I got a little carried away with the rings. I was a little bored the night before the wedding and decided to take the rings on a little photo excursion.

Serge & Ria - August 9, 2008

I am a wee bit late with this one... sorry guys. Serge and Ria were married August 9th, the most interesting day for weather I have seen so far this summer... tons of rain, sunshine, heavy winds, more rain, more sunshine. Ria and Serge embraced it and no one else seemed to mind.

I have been looking forward to this wedding all summer long. Ria is a dance teacher and I learned during their engagement shoot that they had a surprise dance for their guests... they had been practicing a Dirty Dancing medley almost everyday leading up to the big event. I was so excited to hear this and couldn't wait to witness it. It was by far the most interesting first dance I have had the privilege to photograph. Although I was in on this secret, I was stunned to see another choreographed medley by Serge and his mom and Ria and her dad. It was amazing!!! My face hurt from smiling so much. I can't wait to see it on Youtube :)
